Pat swam as an age-grouper for the Golden Triangle Swim League, Mississippi State Champions for 24 years in a row. Pat also swam at the University of Southern Mississippi. He founded the Cobb Stingrays in 1986, which was named best team environment in 1992. He founded Chattahoochee Gold later that same year. Pat is regarded as a leader in the business of competitvie swimming, resulting in Chattahoochee Gold being among the first USA Swimming clubs to be awarded the Level Four in Club Recognition in the nation. He is married to Beth Murphy and they have a daughter, Myka.

Pat is a Graduate of the Honors College of the University of Southern Mississippi.

Recognizing his efforts, United States Swimming named his team number one in the Nation for Motivation, Management, and Organization of a large club in 1992. (His team was named runner-up for same award in 1991.)
Founded Chattahoochee Gold in 1992
Named the Fastest Growing Team in the United States in 1993-94
Finished in Top Three at State Championships in 2006
Gave Keynote Speech at Georgia Coaches’ Clinic in 1994
