Professional instructors that are well trained. There are given 8 hours of in class training and testing as well as 13 hours of in water apprenticeship prior to teaching their own class. We only hire teachers that love children and believe in our dream that every child be given the gift of water safety.
Pat swam at the club and college level growing up in Mississippi, and founded another local swim club in 1986. In 1992, he and his wife Beth founded Chattahoochee Gold. The team grew from 34 swimmers to the almost 800 swimmers we have today. Chattahoochee Gold has produced state, regional, and national champions, and was represented by eight of its current and former swimmers at the 2012 USA Olympic Trials.
Pat is regarded as a leader in the business of aquatics and competitive swimming, resulting in Chattahoochee Gold being one of the first USA Swimming clubs to be awarded the Level Four in Club Recognition in the nation. He is married to Beth Murphy and they have one daughter, Myka.
Beth murphy is the co-owner of Gold swimming. She spends most of her time working with our swim lesson program. She is an as an ASCA level 1 swim coach, a certified Swim America program director and has taken many water baby and continuing education classes about swim lessons and coaching. She is married to Pat Murphy (head coach) and mother to Myka.
Kim Duncan has been with Gold Swimming for many years following a career in corporate management at Toys R Us. She works as our front desk manager at Woodstock and with our lesson program. She is quite an asset to the Gold family
